The Story of Qachbal's Homemade Peanut Butter Fudge

When my mother and father married in 1956, my father loved peanut butter fudge. When my father would crave the peanut butter goodness, my mom would have to wait to get the recipe from my grandmother. Then mom would make it, dad would enjoy it, and mom would misplace the recipe again. So after having to wait each time he wanted to have fudge, dad wrote the recipe down as mom made his beloved peanut butter fudge. When he finished copying the recipe, he carefully folded the handwritten recipe and placed it in his wallet. In later years when he wanted fudge, he would take out the

folded paper and hand it to my mom to make. When she would finish making the recipe, he would return the fudge recipe back to his wallet till the next time.

That small, folded paper remained in his wallet till after my mom's passing. As he let his loving wife of many years go, so went the recipe folded in his wallet. We no longer have the folded piece of paper that for so many years traveled in my dad's back pocket, but I found a copy of the recipe in my mom's recipe box.

Now with recipe and wooden spoon in hand you too can enjoy a great peanut butter fudge. You will notice that it's so creamy it melts in your mouth. Every peanut butter lovers dream come true. As with all good things, you will have to wait for me to make a batch and mail it to you.
